A new race weekend is officially underway at the San Juan Villicum circuit for the first two free practice sessions. An important day to start getting to grips with the track and its conditions, with Balda taking 11th place in the combined standings.

FP1 was staged in the morning, while Lorenzo used the session to learn the track’s layout: 18 laps completed, with the 7th position as his final result.

In the afternoon, during the FP2 session, Balda finished 10th, but without being able to improve on his morning times.

The Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team is now ready for Day 2, which will see the Superpole (16.25 CET) and Race 1 (18.30 CET), which will last 19 laps.

“It was a positive day, first of all because I like the track, so I adapted quickly. In FP2 we did some testing: looking ahead to tomorrow I’m confident, as we’re already close to the front guys“.
