Austrian GP Q1-Q2
Baldassarri will start the Austrian Grand Prix from thirteenth position
Baldassarri, who completed a good final free practice session with an excellent race pace, was unable to score a lap fast enough to take him directly to Q2. However, he managed to pass from Q1 to Q2, where, however, with fewer tires than the rest of the drivers, he was unable to make the lap he expected and therefore will start from thirteenth place. The FlexBox HP 40 rider is confident of making a good start and staying with the leading group as he has the pace for them.
Lorenzo Baldassarri, 13th, 1: 29.277 (+0.596)
“This afternoon we made a mistake in the free practice. We worked on the race pace, which is good, but when we went to close a fast lap we didn’t make it. Because of that we did the Q1 and we entered in Q2. I was expecting more than thirteenth place but I’m confident with my race pace and with the work we’ve done. I want to thank the team for the excellent work. Sure tomorrow we will fight and it will be very important to make a good start to be with the group in the front.”
