GERMAN GP Q1
Baldassarri recovers almost 7 tenths in Q1 compared to FP3.
It’s the end of the second day on the Sachsenring circuit, where also today the temperatures have been particularly high, with 50.4°C tarmac in FP3.
Lorenzo Baldassarri, who started the week end slightly under the weather, was able to improve his times at every session, shortening in Q1 the gap from the Top 5 of 6 tenths compared to the last free practice session of this morning. Baldassarri will start tomorrow’s race from the eighth row..
Surely I can’t say that I’m satisfied with this weekend’s sessions, but the positive side is that with each exit there has been a growing and and improvement. We have understood the fundamental points for us to be better also on this track, especially on entry and on run in. Tomorrow it will be important to make a good start and recover as many positions as possible.
