The Buriram International Circuit, opened in 2014 and from 2018 one of the Grand Prix of the world championship, owes its name to the homonymous city. Located about 410 km northeast of Bangkok, Buriram is the chief town of the province that have the same name and it’s called the ‘city of joy’. The area is characterized by the typical hot and humid climate of South East Asia which, also characterized by abundant rains, makes this Grand Prix particularly demanding for the riders.

The track is full of violent braking and sudden accelerations, it has three straights and twelve corners, the main straightaway allows Moto2 riders to exceed 280Km / h.

Balda’s though

Thai circuit is a pretty easy track, a part from T3, which is a quite technical sector, for the rest the layout is very stop and go, with brakings and straights in succession. At the T2 sector, there’s a very fast turn which we face in 4th gear, you arrive there in 5th and then you soon downshift a gear, it’s a very fast corner. The Thai GP is physically very tough though because of the heath.
