The Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team is ready to return to the track for the eleventh and penultimate round of the 2022 season, scheduled at the Mandalika circuit. Located on the charming island of Lombok, the Indonesian circuit became part of the WorldSBK calendar last season, garnering widespread praise from riders and industry insiders.

Not among the riders mentioned is Balda, for whom the upcoming weekend will be his first at Mandalika. Lorenzo arrives in Indonesia on the strength of the podium obtained at San Juan, another track unknown to him, and aims to be among the protagonists right away, in order to keep the fight for the title open.

Two rounds from the end of the season, Lorenzo occupies second place in the overall standings, with 72 points to make up against Aegerter.

The Indonesian weekend will start as usual on Friday with the two free practice sessions, while on Saturday it will be time for Superpole and Race 1, with Race 2 on Sunday closing the program.

Mandalika represents a new challenge for me, just like Argentina. Studying it and seeing it these days I think it can adapt well to my characteristics, so I am confident ahead of the weekend. We must not be in a hurry, working step by step to get ready for the races“.
