Difficult Saturday for Balda, who had to deal with a crash during Race 1 at Mandalika Circuit.

The day opened with Superpole, where the riders had to hunt for a good grid position. Lorenzo was the most active on track with 10 laps, taking 8th place.

At 12 local time Race 1 got underway. Balda made a good start, immediately trying to get close to the top positions: on the third lap, however, the Italian was the victim of a highside – fortunately without consequences – in turn 1, which put an early end to his race.

Tomorrow we will be back on track for the warm up, scheduled for 1.55 CET, and especially for Race 2, which will start at 5 CET.

“There’s nothing to say about today’s race, except that I’m glad I didn’t get hurt. Unfortunately I ended up slightly off the good line, and this track is unforgiving. It was not our day, tomorrow we will try to make up for it”.
