The Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team is ready to face the second round of the 2022 WorldSSP Championship this weekend, at the historic Assen circuit in the Netherlands, which returned to the calendar last year after the Covid stop in 2020.

Balda. arrives in Holland after making a fantastic debut in World Supersport, taking pole position, a win and a second place in the first round at Aragon.
At the TT Lorenzo will be able to draw on the experience he has gained in the past, having already raced six times at the Dutch circuit, with a fifth place as his best result. After impressing on his debut, Balda is obviously looking for confirmation, as well as better knowledge of both the championship and his Yamaha YZF-R6.

The weekend at Assen will start as usual on Friday, with the first two free practice sessions. Saturday will be time for the Superpole and Race 1, while Sunday Race 2 will complete the weekend’s program.

Assen is a track I like a lot, thinking about which I have bittersweet memories. It’s a track that suits me, and I think it suits the team too. We know that others have tested at Assen, so they might have an advantage at first, but I’m sure that if we work well from FP1 we can aim high again“.
