Complicated race Sunday for Balda who in Race 2 – interrupted by a red flag with 6 laps to go – finished in 9th position.

Balda made a positive start, moving up to 6th place on the second lap.
Over the next two laps, two small errors at the penultimate corner forced him down first to P11 and then P13, from which he began his comeback, which took him up to 9th place overall.

Lorenzo remains second in the overall standings with 359 points, behind the newly crowned 2022 World Champion Aegerter.

Balda will return on track next weekend for the final round of the 2022 season, at the Australian track of Phillip Island.

“Unfortunately today we paid the price for the no experience we gained yesterday. I got a good start but during a duel with Bulega I had to go off track to avoid him, and something similar happened on the same turn on the next lap. It’s a shame because despite everything we were competitive: now we have to think about Australia, I can’t wait to be there”.
