Balda lowers his personal best time by one second compared to yesterday.

Warm sunshine greeted the MV Agusta Forward Racing Team rider Lorenzo Baldassarri, on the beautiful Red Bull Ring track on a Saturday that offered positive insights.

Lorenzo, after a rather complicated morning session due to a crash in the opening minutes, rode the qualifying session with determination, improving his Friday best time by one second.

The Italian rider showed that he is slowly regaining the best feeling with his F2, after the hand injury that kept him away for some time.

The recorded time of 1’29.832 earned him the start from the ninth row of the grid.

These are the timetables for tomorrow race: at 09:10 the Warm Up will start, preceding the 25-lap race that will start at 12:20.

“This morning unfortunately I had a strange crash at the start of the session when my tyre locked up and I lost the front all of a sudden. In the afternoon we chose to start with a more familiar base and from the first lap we went better. But then I wasn’t able to brake properly in turn one, I went long and preferred to stop in the box to check the bike, but unfortunately the session was practically over. Overall it hasn’t been an easy day, but we’ll analyze the data and try to prepare for tomorrow. I am confident of a good race”.
