European GP Q2

Baldassarri completes a good qualifying session and will start from eighth position on the grid at Valencia

After a good first day, today Balda confirmed his good feelings on the Kalex of the FlexBox HP 40 team. In the FP3 in the morning the riders did not improve the times of the previous day and the Italian rider therefore entered directly into Q2. In the afternoon the qualifying took place in very delicate track conditions, practically dry but in some areas still wet.
Baldassarri was aware of having to take risks in finding the fastest lap and over time the track has improved. Baldassarri, with a best time trial of 1: 40.610, obtained the eighth best time and will therefore start from the third row.

Lorenzo Baldassarri, 8th, 1:40.610 (+1.674)
“This morning we found difficult track conditions and I knew we could find a similar situation in qualifying and indeed it was; the track was almost dry except for the first corner and T4 and we fought for it. Eighth place and at the end I couldn’t push anymore, but it’s a good position to start the race.”
