Like yesterday, during FP3 temperatures were very high, with 38Cº air and reaching 60Cº the tarmac. In qualifying, held in the evening, these values dropped to 29Cº and 35Cº respectively.
Lorenzo Baldassarri, who completed some long runs in the afternoon ahead of the race, completed 7 laps in qualifying, stopping the clock at 2:00’135. The Italian rider will start tomorrow’s race from the ninth row of the grid.
Lorenzo Baldassarri #7 – 2:00’135
“Unfortunately we made a strategy mistake in qualifying today. We miscalculated the exit times and on this fast and flowing track, where we pay a lot for speed, having a hook is important to make a good time. In any case on track and in a bagarre with the other riders I feel competitive and this gives me a lot of confidence, so I am looking forward to tomorrow to take a step ahead because we are working well”
